Hua Hin Beach - Beaches Near Bangkok

Thinking About Staying at Centre Point Hotel Chidlom? Check Out the Nearby Beach!

A stayover at Centre Point Hotels comes with convenience: nearby and easy transportation to Thailand’s Royal Beach Resort on the soft white sands of Hua Hin Beach.

Hua Hin has been one of Thailand’s most frequented beaches for almost a century, and this beautiful gem of Nature still remains a highly popular tourist spot and beach resort, with an active fishing port only adding to its genuine charm.

8 kilometers (5 miles) of wave-kissed sand, shaded with tropical palm trees tossing gently in the breeze, line the shore. But behind the greenery, there thrives a bustling little city that has managed to retain its Old World atmosphere and cultural appeal despite modernization.

The Royal Resort at Hua Hin Beach

Hua Hin Beach first became the place of relaxation and vacation for the Thai royalty in the 1920’s, when the local fishing village was turned into a resort for the king and his family and two magnificent summer palaces were constructed.

The most famous of these, the Klai Kangwon (Far From Worries Palace), is still owned and used by members of the royalty; however, it is open to the public on a regular basis. Savor a piece of Thai history and culture as part of your visit to Bangkok, while you tour the royal palace and leave your own worries far behind!

The Hua Hin Train Station

Make sure you begin your day at the Hua Hin Beach by arriving by train! The charming train station, commissioned by the royal family in the 1920’s as a means of reaching their summer palaces, is a beautiful piece of traditional Thai architecture that will set the mood for the rest of your day.

Elephant Trekking at Hua Hin

Hua Hin is the ideal place to experience one of Thailand’s most interesting cultural aspects for a visitor to our country: elephant riding.

For centuries, riding elephants was one of best ways to get about. Nowadays, mahouts (elephant trainers) still take adventurous visitors around the island for scenic tours, giving them magnificent views of the city, bay, and tropical landscape, plus an absolutely unforgettable trip. So climb on up and head out across Hua Hin on an elephant, and remember to bring your camera along!

Golfing Opportunities Near Hua Hin Beach

Hua Hin may well be the avid golfer’s dream island! With several world class golf courses to choose from, including the Imperial Lakeview Resort, the Black Mountain Golf Club, and the Banyan Golf Club, you could spend many happy hours enjoying the warm sunshine out on the green.

Horse Riding on Hua Hin Beach

There are very few beaches in Thailand which allow horse riding, but Hua Hin is one of them. Both horses and small children’s ponies can be rented at the beach itself. The animals are accustomed to strangers, very well behaved, and highly trained, so whether you are an experienced horse lover or an amateur up for something new, you can be sure of keeping your seat! Saddle up and enjoy a day out on the beach like no other!

Water Parks for the Ultimate Family Thrill

Hua Hin and its nearby vicinity offers two waterparks for a splendid day of getting wet and having loads of fun!

The Vana Nava Water Park is an exciting conglomeration of 19 thrilling rides and activities, plus a plethora of shops and fast food restaurants across the premises. One of the most popular rides is The Abyss, Thailand’s largest water slide, which sends visitors careening through the water downwards at 45 kilometers per hour, while The AquaLoop brings them up to the speed of 60 km per hour in fantastic loop-the-loops. Some of the other rides are slower and more calm for the less staunch of heart, but refreshingly cool in the summer heat nonetheless!

The Black Mountain Water Park offers a beautifully decorated water-themed landscape at the foot of the nearby green mountains around a large lake. Nine slides, varying in speed and splash, accompany a charming lazy river and a series of pools. The water park is a compliment to the Black Mountain Golf Club.

Eating at Hua Hin

Finding fantastic food will be no problem in Hua Hin! Traditional Thai cuisine is everywhere, and the only difficulty you’ll have will be choosing where to go! Hua Hin also has a huge variety of Italian and French restaurants with Thai accents.

The Hua Hin Fishing Pier

The Hua Hin pier is a perfect get-away spot after the excitement of the day. There’s no more peaceful location to watch the magnificent tropical sunsets over the waves than here. The locals frequently stop by to do some quiet fishing in the peace of the evening, while small boats and sailing dinghies will be silhouetted against the brilliant sunset sky. You will come away with memories you’ll never forget.
